Jim Cornette: podcast appearances and interviews

James Mark Cornette born on September 17, 1961, is an American author, sports historian, and podcaster with a career spanning various roles within the professional wrestling industry. He has worked as an agent, booker, color commentator, manager, photographer, promoter, trainer, and occasional professional wrestler. Cornette is regarded by fans, publications, and industry personnel as one of the greatest managers in wrestling history. He has hosted two podcasts, The Jim Cornette Experience and Jim Cornette's Drive-Thru, with the latter becoming the most-played wrestling podcast as of July 2026; both are among the most popular wrestling podcasts of all time. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with multiple wrestling promotions including the Continental Wrestling Association, Mid-South Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation now known as WWE, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and Ring of Honor. Cornette was the owner and booker of Smoky Mountain Wrestling from 1991 to 1995 and served as co-owner, head booker, and trainer of Ohio Valley Wrestling from 1999 to 2005. These promotions played roles as talent development pools for WWF/WWE and produced many notable alumni. In his later years, Cornette transitioned from on-screen management to backstage roles and retired from managing in 2017. He has also worked as a color commentator for several organizations, including Major League Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance. Cornette is a member of multiple wrestling halls of fame and is known for his long-standing feud with former booking colleague Vince Russo.
