Jessica Reyez is a Canadian singer-songwriter born on June 12, 1991. Her 2016 single, 'Figures,' reached number 58 on the Canadian Hot 100 and received triple platinum certification by Music Canada and platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Reyez's debut extended play, Kiddo, was released in 2017 and earned her the Breakthrough Artist award at the 2018 Juno Awards, among four nominations. In 2018, she released her second EP, Being Human in Public, which won the R and B/Soul Recording of the Year at the 2019 Juno Awards and was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards. She continued her success with the single 'Feel it Too' in 2019, which again won the Juno award for R and B/Soul Recording of the Year and earned her a nomination for Artist of the Year. Reyez has also established herself as a songwriter, having written songs for artists such as Calvin Harris, Kehlani, Dua Lipa, and Normani, including the notable hit 'One Kiss.' Additionally, she has collaborated multiple times with Eminem. Her debut studio album, Before Love Came to Kill Us, released in 2020, received wide critical acclaim and achieved commercial success, reaching number 13 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
