Jessica Margaret Silbey is an American legal scholar affiliated with Boston University where she holds the position of Frank R. Kenison Distinguished Scholar in Law. She has also served as a law professor at Suffolk University Law School and Northeastern University School of Law. Originally a lawyer for Foley Hoag, Silbey has established a notable academic career through her scholarly work. She was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2018. Silbey is the author of the books The Eureka Myth, published in 2015, and Against Progress, published in 2022.
