Jerod Impichchaachaaha Tate: podcast appearances and interviews

Jerod Impichchaachaaha Tate, born on July 25, 1968, is a Chickasaw classical composer and pianist. His compositions draw inspiration from North American Indian history, culture, and ethos. Tate has had several commissioned works performed by major orchestras in cities such as Washington, DC, San Francisco, Detroit, and Minneapolis. Notably, his work Iholba' was performed and recorded by the San Francisco Symphony Chorus in 2008; this marked the first time the chorus performed or recorded a piece in Chickasaw or any American Indian language. He is the founder and artistic director of the Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival. Additionally, Tate co-founded and serves as a composition instructor for the Chickasaw Summer Arts Academy.
