Jennifer Harrison: podcast appearances and interviews

Jennifer Harrison is a dissertation coach and academic mentor affiliated with Read Write Perfect LLC. She is also a psychiatrist and poet, born in Liverpool, Sydney. Harrison studied medicine and specialised in psychiatry, working primarily as a child psychiatrist. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her contributions to both the arts and the medical field. As a poet, she has published several volumes of poetry since her debut in 1994 with Michelangelo's Prisoners. Her work has earned her the Anne Elder Award in 1995, and she was short-listed for the Kenneth Slessor Prize for Poetry in 2000. In 2011, she received the Christopher Brennan Award for lifetime achievement in poetry, and her photography has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Victoria. Harrison has lived in the United States and New Zealand before settling in Melbourne, where she continues her work as a child psychiatrist. She also manages The Dax Poetry Collection for the Dax Centre at the University of Melbourne. Her contributions to youth and children's psychiatry as well as her involvement in the arts were formally recognised when she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours.
