Jeh Johnson: podcast appearances and interviews

Jeh Charles Johnson is an American lawyer and former government official who served as the fourth United States secretary of homeland security from 2013 to 2017. Prior to his tenure at the Department of Homeland Security, he was the general counsel of the Department of Defense from 2009 to 2012, during the early years of the Obama administration. His career also includes roles as a federal prosecutor, general counsel of the Department of the Air Force, and work in private legal practice. Johnson has held various positions on boards of prominent organizations including Columbia University, MetLife, and the September 11 Memorial & Museum. He has also served as a board member for companies such as Lockheed Martin, U. S. Steel, and PG&E, as well as the Council on Foreign Relations. In addition to his board memberships, Johnson is a semi-regular commentator on networks like NBC, CNN, and MSNBC. After retiring from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP in June 2025, he continued his involvement in public and private sector roles, maintaining a significant presence in legal and policy circles.
