Jeffrey Toobin: podcast appearances and interviews

Jeffrey Ross Toobin is an American lawyer, author, blogger, and legal analyst. He has served as a legal analyst for CNN and has contributed to The New Yorker from 1993 until 2020. During his career, Toobin worked as an associate counsel on the investigation of the Iran–Contra affair at the Department of Justice. In the 1990s, he transitioned from government work and practicing law to full-time writing, publishing several books on topics including the 1970s Patty Hearst kidnapping, the O. J. Simpson murder case, and the Clinton–Lewinsky scandal. His work on the Simpson and Clinton scandals was adapted into television seasons of FX's American Crime Story. Toobin has also authored books covering significant legal and political events, establishing himself as a notable figure in legal journalism. His career has included contributions to major news outlets and authoring critically recognized publications. In 2020, Toobin was dismissed from The New Yorker following an incident involving on-camera masturbation during a Zoom video conference call with co-workers. He issued an apology and stated he believed his camera was off at the time. Despite this incident, Toobin continues to serve as a legal analyst for CNN.
