Jeff Richards was an American actor known for his role as Benjamin Pontipee in the 1954 film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He was sometimes credited under the names Dick Taylor and Richard Taylor. Richards received recognition early in his career, sharing the Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer with George Nader and Joe Adams. Despite this initial success, his acting career did not continue to flourish, and his career in entertainment was brief. He later became a co-founder and chief operating officer of SnapMedTech, Inc. Richards was born on November 1, 1924, and passed away on July 28, 1989.
