Jeffrey Allan Kemp, born on July 11, 1959, is a former professional American football player who played as a quarterback in the National Football League. His NFL career included stints with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Philadelphia Eagles. Kemp played college football for the Dartmouth Big Green in the Ivy League and was not selected in the 1981 NFL draft. He made notable contributions during his career, including leading the Rams with thirteen touchdown passes in 1984, a season that concluded with a playoff appearance. In 1986, while serving as a backup to Joe Montana, he threw eleven touchdown passes for the 49ers. Kemp is the son of the late Jack Kemp, a former AFL quarterback and American politician. His brother, Jimmy Kemp, played as a quarterback for the Canadian Football League. Kemp is married to Stacy, and together they have four sons named Kyle, Kory, Kolby, and Keegan. He is a graduate of Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland.
