Jayashri Kulkarni is a Professor of Psychiatry at The Alfred Hospital and Monash University. Her work focuses on women's mental health, and she has contributed to the study of Premenstrual syndrome. She has explored the use of hormones in the treatment of mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression in women. Kulkarni is the founder and head of the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre, a clinical psychiatry research institution that employs more than 160 staff and students.
