Jay Mohr: podcast appearances and interviews

Jon Ferguson Mohr, known professionally as Jay Mohr, was born on August 23, 1970. He is an American actor, stand-up comedian, and radio host. Mohr gained recognition for his role as film producer Peter Dragon in the television comedy series Action in 1999. He also portrayed Professor Rick Payne in the television series Ghost Whisperer from 2006 to 2008 and starred in the CBS sitcom Gary Unmarried from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, he was a featured cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 1993 to 1995.

Mohr made his feature film debut with Jerry Maguire in 1996 and has since appeared in numerous films, including Picture Perfect, Small Soldiers, 200 Cigarettes, Pay It Forward, Speaking of Sex, Seeing Other People, Even Money, Dumbbells, and Air. Beyond acting, he hosted his own podcast Mohr Stories on the SModcast Network and, starting in September 2015, hosted Jay Mohr Sports, a daily midday sports radio talk show on Fox Sports Radio. He left Fox Sports Radio in January 2016 to focus on acting ventures. Mohr’s television work includes being nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award as the first host and executive producer of Last Comic Standing, which aired from 2003 to 2006.
