Jason Park: podcast appearances and interviews

Jason Park is a feature filmmaker and the founder of Empress Therapeutics. While his professional background includes extensive legal experience, including serving as an associate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, his current focus is on film production and entrepreneurial activities within the healthcare sector. Park earned his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2006. His legal career began with working as an associate at Chadbourne & Parke LLP in New York City, where he concentrated on complex commercial litigation. He later served as a law clerk for Judge Ricardo M. Urbina at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and subsequently became an assistant United States attorney in Washington, D.C. There, he specialized in investigating and prosecuting violent crimes, with particular emphasis on sexual assault, child sexual and physical abuse, child exploitation, and juvenile sex trafficking cases. His service earned him recognition including the FBI Washington Field Office Service Award and the U.S. Attorney's Office Impact Award. In 2019, Park was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as an associate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. His official investiture took place in January 2020. Currently, he combines his interest in film with his entrepreneurial pursuits through his leadership at Empress Therapeutics.
