Jane Marie Lynch, born on July 14, 1960, is an American actress, comedian, and singer recognized for her work in television, film, and theater. She has received numerous awards, including one Golden Globe, six Primetime Emmys, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2013, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Lynch is known for her roles in comedic television series such as Glee, where she portrayed Sue Sylvester from 2009 to 2015, as well as recurring roles in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Good Fight, and Only Murders in the Building. She also hosted the game show Hollywood Game Night from 2013 to 2020 and has been the host and executive producer of the American version of The Weakest Link since 2020. Her collaborations with Christopher Guest include appearances in the mockumentary films Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration. Lynch has also appeared in mainstream comedy films such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Talladega Nights, Role Models, Paul, and The Three Stooges.
