James Harvey Kennedy, born on May 25, 1970, is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his role as Randy Meeks in the Scream film series, appearing as a supporting character in the first and third installments and as a lead ensemble member in the second. Kennedy has also played lead roles in films such as Malibu's Most Wanted, Son of the Mask, Kickin' It Old Skool, Finding Bliss, Trick, and Roe v. Wade. His supporting roles include appearances in movies like Romeo plus Juliet, Enemy of the State, Bowfinger, Three Kings, Boiler Room, Max Keeble's Big Move, and Good Deeds. In television, Kennedy hosted the WB sketch comedy series The Jamie Kennedy Experiment from 2002 to 2004. He also portrayed Professor Eli James on CBS on the series Ghost Whisperer from 2008 to 2010 and Dr. Callahan on the NBC medical comedy-drama Heartbeat in 2016. Additionally, he has had recurring voice roles on several series including The Cleveland Show, Fanboy & Chum Chum, and Legends of Chamberlain Heights.
