Jamie Harrison is the chief operating officer of the West Mercia Police Federation. Born on 19 November 1990, he is an English professional. Harrison's career background includes having been a cricketer, where he played as a right-handed batsman and bowled left-arm medium-fast. He was born in Whiston, Merseyside, and received his education at Sedbergh School. Harrison was previously part of Durham's cricket academy and made his debut for Durham in a List A match against Somerset in 2012 at the Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street, where he scored 7 not out and took two wickets including those of Craig Kieswetter and Peter Trego. He also made his first-class debut in a County Championship match against Somerset at the County Ground, Taunton. In that game, Durham scored 384, and Harrison contributed with the bat, dismissed for 15, and also bowled effectively, taking four wickets for 112 runs in Somerset's innings. He finished the match with a total of five wickets for 131 runs. Throughout his cricketing career, Harrison demonstrated versatility as both a batsman and a bowler before transitioning into his current role in law enforcement.
