James O Keefe: podcast appearances and interviews

James Edward O'Keefe III, born on June 28, 1984, is an American political activist known for founding Project Veritas, a far-right activist group. The organization is known for using deceptively edited videos and information gathering techniques aimed at attacking mainstream media organizations and progressive groups. O'Keefe and Project Veritas have produced secretly recorded undercover audio and video encounters in academic, governmental, and social service organizations. These recordings often depict alleged abusive or illegal behavior but are frequently selectively edited to misrepresent the context and responses of the subjects involved. O'Keefe first gained national prominence through videos of Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) offices in 2009, which led to significant political and financial repercussions for the organization. He was also involved in incidents including his arrest in 2010 for entering the federal office of Senator Mary Landrieu under false pretenses and releasing misleading videos of NPR executives in 2011. Following these activities, he gained support from right-wing and conservative media. O'Keefe served as chairman of Project Veritas until he was dismissed in February 2023 amid allegations of financial malfeasance. Subsequently, he launched a new organization called O’Keefe Media Group. Legal disputes have ensued between him and Project Veritas concerning the creation of the new organization and the alleged improper use of company funds.
