Cameron has achieved significant commercial success, with his films grossing over 10 billion dollars worldwide, making him the second highest-grossing film director of all time. His notable works include the science fiction classic The Terminator, and its sequels, as well as Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies, and the Avatar franchise. His film Titanic also garnered critical acclaim, earning him the Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Film Editing. Cameron’s films Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, and Titanic rank among the top four highest-grossing films globally. He is the only director to have multiple films surpassing two billion dollars in revenue and has set records for consecutive billion-dollar films. Beyond filmmaking, Cameron is an active deep-sea explorer, serving as a National Geographic explorer-in-residence.
