Jason Steven Jake Plummer is a former professional football player who played as a quarterback for ten seasons in the National Football League. He played college football at Arizona State University before being selected in the second round of the 1997 NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals. Plummer spent six seasons with the Cardinals and later played four seasons with the Denver Broncos. After retiring from professional football, he co-founded UMBO, a company specializing in functional mushroom supplements, alongside former UFC Champion Rashad Evans. He also founded MyCOLove Farm in Fort Lupton, Colorado, to deepen his understanding of mushrooms and mycology. Plummer is known by the nickname 'Jake the Snake,' which, despite its resemblance to the wrestler's moniker, has no connection to professional wrestling. The nickname is a tribute to former Oakland Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler, who was also called 'Snake.'
