Joshua Ryan Owen, known professionally as Jake Owen, is an American country music singer born on August 28, 1981. He signed with RCA Nashville in 2006 and released his debut studio album, Startin' with Me, the same year. The album produced three singles that reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart: Yee Haw, Startin' with Me, and Something About a Woman. Owen's second studio album, Easy Does It, was released in 2009 and included singles such as Don't Think I Can't Love You, Eight Second Ride, and Tell Me. His third studio album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, released in September 2011, featured his first number one hit with its title track. The album also produced chart-topping singles like Alone with You, The One That Got Away, and Anywhere with You. Owen's fourth studio album, Days of Gold, included the title track and the number one single Beachin'. In addition to his recording career, Owen has toured as an opening act for prominent country artists including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Little Big Town, Sugarland, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, and Jason Aldean, gaining recognition through live performances.
