Jacob Marley: podcast appearances and interviews

Jacob Marley is a fictional character created by Charles Dickens in the novella A Christmas Carol, first published in 1843. He is depicted as the former business partner of the protagonist, Ebenezer Scrooge, and is present at the beginning of the story as a ghost seven years after his death. Marley's ghost is portrayed as wandering the Earth, burdened by heavy chains and money boxes, symbols of a lifetime spent in greed and selfishness. During the story, Marley visits Scrooge on Christmas Eve and warns him of the consequences of his actions. He informs Scrooge that he has an opportunity for redemption through the visit of three spirits, who aim to guide him to change his ways. If Scrooge refuses, Marley forewarns that he too will be cursed to carry chains of his own in the afterlife.
