Jackie Martin is the Founder and Executive Director of A Matter of Motivation Inc. She is recognized for her pioneering contributions to journalism and public relations. Throughout her career, she achieved numerous firsts as a woman in the American workforce, including becoming the first woman art director and picture editor at a metropolitan newspaper. She was also the first woman accepted into the White House Press Corps. Additionally, she broke new ground as the first woman hired as a sports editor at a major metropolitan daily paper and managed and coached a professional basketball team. Her work extended beyond journalism into military public relations, where she was the first official photographer and public relations officer for the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps and the first to wear a WAAC uniform.
