Jack Peter Benedict Whitehall, born on 7 July 1988, is an English comedian, actor, writer, and television personality. He has played notable roles such as JP in the Channel 4 comedy-drama series Fresh Meat and Alfie Wickers in the BBC Three sitcom Bad Education. Whitehall also co-wrote Bad Education and its film adaptation, The Bad Education Movie. From 2012 to 2018, he was a regular panelist on the comedy game show A League of Their Own. In 2017, he starred alongside his father, Michael Whitehall, in the Netflix comedy documentary series Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father, and also appeared in the BBC series Decline and Fall. He has been a recurring host of the BRIT Awards, first from 2018 to 2021 and again in 2025 and 2026. Whitehall launched his stand-up comedy career at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, earning a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. He has performed five stand-up tours: Jack Whitehall Live, Gets Around, At Large, Stood Up, and Settle Down, spanning from 2010 to 2024. Throughout his career, Whitehall has cultivated a diverse portfolio of work in comedy, acting, and television hosting, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
