About Jack Harris

Jack Harris is the director of athletic logistics and support at St John's Chambers Family & Divorce team. Born on October 3, 1951, in Shoreditch, Hackney, London, he is also known for his work as an English vocalist with the British progressive rock band The Alan Parsons Project. Harris contributed lead vocals on the track "Day After Day (The Show Must Go On)" from the 1977 album I Robot and on the single "Pyramania" from the Grammy-nominated Pyramid in 1978. He demonstrated his vocal versatility by singing in both high and low registers and provided backing vocals on the band's debut album Tales of Mystery and Imagination in 1976. His backing vocals included a deep voice alongside John Miles on the debut single "(The System of) Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether" as well as a choir-like voice supporting Arthur Brown on "The Tell-Tale Heart." Prior to his work with the band, Harris was signed as a solo artist to Decca Records. He frequently collaborated with Ian Bairnson; his 1975 single "Sail Away," produced by Alan Parsons and featuring members of Pilot, was re-released later in 1977. Harris also appeared on Pilot’s "Ten Feet Tall" from their final album Two’s A Crowd. He is a first cousin of Ron "Chopper" Harris.
