Irene Tracey: podcast appearances and interviews

Irene Mary Carmel Tracey, born on October 30, 1966, is a British neuroscientist and the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford. She also holds the position of Professor of Anaesthetic Neuroscience in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. Previously, she served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor without portfolio at the university and was the Warden of Merton College, Oxford. Tracey is a co-founder of the Oxford Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain, now known as the University of Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging. Her research focuses on the neuroscience of pain, examining pain perception and analgesia, as well as how anesthetics induce altered states of consciousness. Her team employs multidisciplinary approaches, including neuroimaging techniques, to advance understanding in these areas.
