Imran Khan is the head of innovation and design at Proem Asset Management. Before his current role, he gained prominence as a former cricketer, philanthropist, and politician in Pakistan. He captained the Pakistan national cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup and holds notable records as a Test cricket captain, including the most wickets and second-best bowling figures in an innings. His cricket career began in 1971 and lasted until 1992, during which he also set the world record for the most wickets taken as a Test captain. Following his retirement from sports, Khan founded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Pakistan’s first cancer hospital, demonstrating his commitment to philanthropy. He founded the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and served as its chairman from 1996 to 2023. Khan entered Pakistan's National Assembly in 2002 and became the first politician in the country to win five constituencies simultaneously in the 2018 general elections, leading to his appointment as prime minister.
