About Ian Stewart
Ian Stewart was a Scottish musician known as a keyboardist and a co-founder of the Rolling Stones. He was removed from the band's lineup in May 1963 at the request of manager Andrew Loog Oldham, who believed he did not fit the group's image. Despite his departure from the performing roster, Stewart remained associated with the band as their road manager and continued to play piano for over two decades until his death in 1985. His contributions to rock music were recognized with his posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 as part of the Rolling Stones.
