Howard Michael Mandel, born on November 29, 1955, is a Canadian comedian, television personality, actor, and producer. He is recognized for his voice role as Gizmo in the 1984 film Gremlins and its sequel Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Mandel appeared as Dr. Wayne Fiscus, a rowdy emergency room resident, on the NBC medical drama St. Elsewhere. He also created and starred in the Fox children’s cartoon Bobby’s World. Mandel has served as a judge on NBC’s America's Got Talent since 2010 and on Citytv’s Canada's Got Talent since 2022. Additionally, he hosted the game show Deal or No Deal on NBC and later CNBC, including its daytime and Canadian-English editions.
