Howard Smith: podcast appearances and interviews

Howard Smith was an American character actor with a career spanning over fifty years in vaudeville, theatre, radio, films, and television. His early work included performances in Orson Welles's stage production and the film Too Much Johnson, as well as a notable role in the radio dramatization of The War of the Worlds. Smith is remembered for his portrayal of Charley in the original Broadway production of Death of a Salesman and for reprising this role in the 1951 film adaptation. On television, he played Harvey Griffin in the situation comedy Hazel. Later in his career, Smith served as the executive director of the Center for Industry Self-Regulation, applying his experience in the entertainment industry to his leadership role.
