Holly Black

Holly Black (born November 10, 1971) is an American writer and editor recognized for her contributions to children's and young adult fiction. She is best known for her series Folk of the Air, which has achieved bestseller status and is targeted at young adult readers. Black also co-created The Spiderwick Chronicles with writer and illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi; this series of children’s fantasy books was adapted into a film released in 2008 and a television series that premiered in 2023. Her early work includes the Modern Faerie Tales trilogy, a collection of young adult novels.
