Helen Marshall: podcast appearances and interviews

Helen Marshall, born in 1971, is a British visual artist and academic known for her work with photography and new media. She employs a socially engaged and participatory approach to public art, creating works that are often situated in the wider public realm rather than in galleries or museums. Her artworks are held in both public and private collections and frequently commemorate historic events, notable figures, and ordinary individuals. Marshall's notable public art projects include The Big Picture, a record-breaking photo mosaic measuring 857.3 square metres and composed of 112,896 photographs, unveiled in 2008. She also created a diptych photo mosaic depicting Queen Elizabeth II during her coronation in 1953 and her Diamond Jubilee in 2012, encompassing 5,000 photos over 38 square metres, which is installed at Terminal 2 in Gatwick Airport. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Marshall is recognized as an academic and holds the honorary membership of the Townswomen's Guilds.
