Heather O'Neill is the vice president of Construction Specialty Products at 9th Level Games. Her professional role involves overseeing the development and management of construction-related products within the company. Although she has gained recognition in her industry, she is also known as a Canadian novelist, poet, short story writer, screenwriter, and journalist. O'Neill's debut novel, Lullabies for Little Criminals, was published in 2006 and received critical acclaim. The novel was selected for Canada Reads in 2007, where it was championed by singer-songwriter John K. Samson and ultimately won the competition. The book also won the Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction and was shortlisted for several other notable awards, including the Orange Prize for Fiction and the Governor General's Award.
