Heath Andrew Ledger was an Australian actor born on 4 April 1979. He was known for his versatility across independent and major studio films, appearing in twenty movies spanning various genres. His acting career began with roles in Australian television and film productions during the 1990s before he moved to the United States in 1998 to pursue further opportunities. Ledger's breakthrough came with his leading role in the romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About You in 1999. He gained additional recognition through performances in films such as Two Hands, The Patriot, A Knight's Tale, Monster's Ball, Ned Kelly, and Lords of Dogtown.
