Harry Clark: podcast appearances and interviews

Harry Clark was an American actor born on April 17, 1913. Before embarking on his acting career, he worked as a physical education teacher, a factory worker, and was also involved in athletics. His participation in the International Ladies Garment Workers Union-sponsored revue Pins and Needles in 1937 marked a turning point, inspiring him to pursue acting professionally. Clark's Broadway performances included roles in productions such as The Skin of Our Teeth, One Touch of Venus, Call Me Mister, Kiss Me, Kate, Wish You Were Here, and Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? From the early 1940s until the mid-1950s, he appeared in numerous B-movies. His television work included appearances on The United States Steel Hour's production of No Time for Sergeants and The Phil Silvers Show, where he played the notable role of Mess Sergeant Stanley Sowici. Clark's life was cut short unexpectedly when he died while playing handball at the Young Men's Christian Association near his Manhattan home on February 28, 1956.
