Hannah Waddingham, born on July 28, 1974, is an English actress, singer, and television presenter recognized for her work on stage and screen. She has received numerous awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy Award, two Critics' Choice Television Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, along with nominations for two BAFTA TV Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Laurence Olivier Awards. Waddingham gained prominence for her role as Rebecca Welton in the Apple TV+ comedy series Ted Lasso, which began in 2020, and for which she received the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her television credits also include roles such as Tonya Dyke in Benidorm, Septa Unella in Game of Thrones, Jax-Ur in Krypton, and Sofia Marchetti in Sex Education.
