Hannah Mary Fry, born on 21 February 1984, is a British mathematician, author, and broadcaster. She holds the position of the first Professor of the Public Understanding of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge and is a fellow of Queens' College, Cambridge. Fry is also the president of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and was previously a Professor of the Mathematics of Cities at University College London.

Her research has encompassed the analysis of patterns in human behavior, including interpersonal relationships and dating, as well as mathematical applications to understanding pandemics and explaining modern appliances scientifically. A notable focus of her work is on improving public mathematical literacy. Fry has engaged in science communication through multiple platforms; she delivered the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures in 2019 and has been involved in various television and radio programmes for the BBC, including The Secret Genius of Modern Life. Throughout her career, she has received several awards for her contributions to mathematics, such as the Asimov Prize and the David Attenborough Award.
