Gwendolyn Kiste: podcast appearances and interviews

Gwendolyn Kiste is a horror and speculative fiction writer based in Pennsylvania. She writes both short stories and novels, and her work has appeared in numerous genre magazines including Interzone, Nightmare, LampLight, Shimmer Magazine, and Daily Science Fiction. She was born in Massillon, Ohio, and raised in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Currently, she resides outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kiste has received several awards for her writing, including the Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel in 2018 for The Rust Maidens, the Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel in 2024 for The Haunting of Velkwood, and the Lambda Literary Award for Bisexual Fiction in 2023 for Reluctant Immortals. She is openly bisexual and has contributed to the Pittsburgh City Paper as a theater reviewer. Additionally, Kiste has written plays for the Massillon Museum. She initially pursued a career as an independent filmmaker before turning to print fiction. Her debut novel gained critical acclaim and has been translated into Spanish, highlighting her recognition within the genre.
