Grace Tame is an Australian activist known for her advocacy on behalf of survivors of sexual assault. Born on December 28, 1994, she grew up in Hobart, Tasmania, and attended St Michael's Collegiate School. Tame was a victim of repeated child sexual abuse by a teacher in 2010. In 2013, she relocated to California before returning to Australia in 2020. Tame co-founded the #LetHerSpeak campaign in 2018 in response to a Tasmanian gag law that restricted her from publicly disclosing her experience as a sexual assault survivor. Supported by the broader MeToo movement, the campaign helped secure her special leave from the Supreme Court of Tasmania, allowing her to share her story with the media in 2019.
