Gladys Maria Knight, born on May 28, 1944, is an American singer and actress renowned for her long-standing musical career. She performed with her family group, Gladys Knight & the Pips, which included her brother Merald 'Bubba' Knight and cousins William Guest and Edward Patten. During her career spanning the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, Knight recorded numerous hits and achieved significant accolades, including seven Grammy Awards. Four of these awards were earned as a solo artist, while three were with the Pips.
