Gary Kemp: podcast appearances and interviews

Gary James Kemp, born on 16 October 1959, is an English songwriter, musician, and actor best known for his work with the band Spandau Ballet. As a member of the band, he served as the lead guitarist, backing vocalist, and the principal songwriter. Kemp wrote the lyrics and music for all 23 of Spandau Ballet's hit singles, including well-known tracks such as To Cut a Long Story Short, True, Gold, Chant No. 1 I Don’t Need This Pressure On, Through the Barricades, and Only When You Leave. Spandau Ballet became one of the most prominent British bands of the 1980s, amassing over 25 million record sales worldwide. In recognition of his songwriting achievements, Kemp received an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection in 2012. His brother Martin Kemp is also a musician and actor, playing bass guitar in the band. Since 2018, Kemp has expanded his musical pursuits by touring the United States and Europe with Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, a psychedelic rock group.
