Gareth Davies: podcast appearances and interviews

Gareth Davies is the Chief Product Officer at Euro Performance. His background includes a notable career in finance and politics. He studied at the University of Nottingham and completed a Master's of Public Administration at Harvard University. Prior to his current role, Davies worked at Threadneedle Investments from 2006 until his election to Parliament in 2019. He has been recognized as a rising star in European finance by Financial News in 2018. Although he unsuccessfully ran for parliamentary seats in Doncaster Central in 2010 and Leeds Central in 2017, he was elected to Parliament in the safe seat of Grantham and Stamford during the 2019 general election. During his time in Parliament, Davies served on the House of Commons Finance Select Committee and the Treasury Select Committee. He held several governmental positions including Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care before resigning during the 2022 government crisis. Later in 2022, he became PPS to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt. In April 2023, he was appointed Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury. Following the 2024 general election, he served as Shadow Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury and was later promoted to Shadow Financial Secretary to the Treasury. In 2025, Davies was appointed a Shadow Business Minister.
