Eric Vogel: podcast appearances and interviews

Eric T. Vogel was a Czech jazz trumpeter who was active during the mid-20th century. In 1938, he performed as a trumpet player in a dixieland combo. Following his arrest in Brno in 1939, he was compelled to organize a jazz school within the Jewish ghetto of the city. During his time in Theresienstadt concentration camp, Vogel played with Martin Roman's Ghetto Swingers and Fritz Weiss's Jazz-Quintet-Weiss. His involvement in jazz extended through a period marked by significant hardship, and he managed to escape while being transferred to Dachau concentration camp. His experiences highlight his resilience and dedication to music amid extraordinary circumstances.
