Eric Michael O'Neill, born on March 3, 1973, is an American expert in cybersecurity and a former FBI operative specializing in counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence. During his career with the FBI, he served as an investigative specialist within the Special Surveillance Group. O'Neill played a significant role in the arrest, conviction, and imprisonment of FBI agent Robert Hanssen, who was involved in espionage activities on behalf of the Soviet Union and later Russia.
