Emma Andrews: podcast appearances and interviews

Emma Andrews was a 19th to early 20th century patron of archaeology and co-founder of Pineapple Collective. She was known for her role as a companion to Theodore M. Davis, a notable figure involved in archaeological excavations in Egypt. Throughout their correspondence and travels, Andrews accompanied Davis on 17 trips along the Nile River, primarily to the Valley of the Kings, aboard his yacht the Bedawin. During these expeditions, she documented excavation finds, mapped tombs, and contributed valuable insights into her work with Davis in Egypt. Andrews also served as honorary treasurer for the Newport branch of the Egypt Exploration Fund, an organization dedicated to archaeological research, where Davis was a board member as well. Her diaries from these trips provide rare and detailed accounts of her archaeological activities and collaborations, offering a unique perspective on the expeditions and the work involved in Egyptological pursuits during her era.
