Eddie McGuire: podcast appearances and interviews

Edward Joseph McGuire, born on 29 October 1964, is an Australian media figure known for his work in television, radio, journalism, and sports broadcasting. He has served as a presenter on various programs including Nine Network's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and its spin-off Millionaire Hot Seat, which he hosted from 2009 until 2023. McGuire has also hosted segments of the program Footy Classified and has been involved in coverage of the Melbourne Cup Carnival on Network 10 since 2022. As a sports broadcaster, he is known for his work as a commentator for the Australian Football League and has hosted shows such as Australia's edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and 1 vs. 100. His media career includes a period as the chief executive officer of Nine Network, a role he resigned from on 30 June 2007. In addition to his broadcasting activities, McGuire has held positions such as director at the Victorian Major Events Company and has hosted radio programs like Triple M Melbourne's The Hot Breakfast. He previously hosted Nine Network's The Footy Show from its inception in March 1994 until 2006, with a brief return in 2017. He was also the former president of the Collingwood Football Club, a position he held until stepping down in 2021 amid criticism related to the handling of systemic racism and involvement in racist incidents at the club.
