Ed Luce: podcast appearances and interviews

Ed Luce is an American cartoonist and a journalist serving as the U.S. national editor and columnist for the Financial Times. He is best known for his indie comics series Wuvable Oaf, which centers on Oaf Jadwiga, a bearish gay ex-wrestler seeking love. The series was initially funded by a grant from Prism Comics and was self-published in five standalone chapters before being compiled into a graphic novel by Fantagraphics Books in 2015. Luce has received recognition within the comics community, including two Ignatz Award nominations in 2009 for Promising New Talent and in 2015 for Outstanding Artist, as well as a Lambda Literary Award nomination in 2016 for LGBT Graphic Novel. His second volume, Wuvable Oaf: Blood and Metal, was published in 2016 and won the Lambda Literary Award for LGBT Graphic Novel at the 29th Lambda Literary Awards. Residing in San Francisco with his husband Mark, Luce is also involved in education, teaching at the California College of the Arts.
