Ed Gein: podcast appearances and interviews

Edward Theodore Gein was an American murderer and body snatcher born on August 27, 1906. He was known for his crimes committed around his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin, which gained widespread notoriety in 1957 after authorities discovered that he had stolen corpses from local graveyards and fashioned keepsakes from their bones and skin. Gein also confessed to killing two women, Mary Hogan, a tavern owner, in 1954, and Bernice Worden, a hardware store owner, in 1957. His criminal activities led to his initial confinement to a mental health facility when he was considered unfit to stand trial. By 1968, Gein was deemed competent to face trial for the murder of Bernice Worden. However, he was found legally insane and was remanded to a psychiatric institution, where he remained until his death on July 26, 1984.
