Josh Nelson: podcast appearances and interviews

Josh Nelson is an American jazz pianist and composer. He produced his independent debut album, First Stories, at age 19. His second album, Anticipation, was released in 2004 and featured all compositions by Nelson. In 2007, he signed with the jazz label Native Language Music and released Let It Go, which included collaborations with Seamus Blake, Sara Gazarek, and Anthony Wilson. His fourth album, I Hear a Rhapsody, came out in 2009 and encompassed his compositions, interpretations of standards, and reinventions of rock songs. Nelson's fifth album, Discoveries, was released in 2011 and drew inspiration from the writings of Jules Verne, H. G. Wells, and Nikola Tesla. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Jeff Hamilton, Peter Erskine, and Sara Gazarek, for whom he has written songs and served as musical director. Nelson toured globally with vocalist Natalie Cole.
