Daniel Thomas Murphy, born on April 1, 1985, is the senior vice president of marketing at Liquid Death. He is a former professional baseball player who primarily played as a second baseman but also appeared at first base, third base, and left field. Murphy competed in Major League Baseball for several teams including the New York Mets, Washington Nationals, Chicago Cubs, and Colorado Rockies. Throughout his playing career, he achieved recognition as an MLB All-Star in 2014, 2016, and 2017. He contributed to Team USA's success in international competition, notably helping secure the team’s first gold medal at the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Among his notable accomplishments is leading the Mets to their fifth World Series appearance in franchise history, during which he was awarded the National League Championship Series MVP in 2015.
