Dougald Hine: podcast appearances and interviews

Dougald Hine, born in 1977 in Cambridge, England, is a British author, editor, and social entrepreneur. He studied English literature at Oxford University and later pursued broadcast journalism at Sheffield Hallam. Hine's career includes four years as a BBC journalist and international work in China's Xinjiang province. He co-founded the School of Everything and the Dark Mountain Project, where he serves as Director at Large. The Dark Mountain Project, co-founded with Paul Kingsnorth after their exchange of ideas in 2008, resulted in the publication of Uncivilization: The Dark Mountain Manifesto in 2009. In 2011, Hine was recognized as one of Britain's top 50 radicals by NESTA. In 2012, he relocated to Sweden, where he has engaged in various projects including work with the National Swedish Touring Theatre and the Centre for Environment and Development Studies at Uppsala University. Alongside Anna Björkman, he founded a school called HOME, a community focused on regrowing a living culture. Since 2015, Hine has been involved with the Swedish touring theatre and environmental studies. In 2021, he hosted a digital roundtable on artistic livelihoods and sustainability, sharing insights from his diverse experiences as a project co-founder and leader of artistic development.
