Diego Luna is a Mexican actor, director, and producer born on December 29, 1979. He gained recognition for his early work in Mexican telenovelas and achieved international fame with his performance in the critically acclaimed 2001 film Y tu mamá también. Luna has appeared in a wide range of films including Frida, Open Range, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, The Terminal, Criminal, Milk, Sólo quiero caminar, and Rudo y Cursi. His work extends to Hollywood productions such as Elysium, Casa de mi Padre, and The Book of Life. From 2018 to 2020, Luna starred as the drug trafficker Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo in the series Narcos: Mexico. As a producer, he has been involved in numerous film and television projects, often collaborating with Gael García Bernal. Luna has also directed three feature films: Abel, Cesar Chavez, and Mr. Pig. His work includes the creation and direction of the 2013 docu-series Back Home, the Amazon Studios talk show Pan y Circo which premiered in 2020, and the 2021 Netflix scripted series Everything Will Be Fine.
